The Endless Mountains Heritage Region includes breathtaking vistas in a remote mountainous setting in northeastern Pennsylvania bisected by the meandering Susquehanna River. Picturesque farms dot hilltops and valley floors. The Master Plan is a tourism based plan that sets the context and policies for the Heritage Region’s efforts to enhance and preserve the region’s unequaled natural, historic, cultural and scenic resources.

The project includes thorough inventory and evaluation of resources, review of threats and impacts including Marcellus shale exploration, development of an interpretive program and economic strategies for management of the 2,800 square mile region.
